Hi again, I just picked this machine up today and I am looking for the info on it. Machine #’s – 310-430-1 G112B Engine # - HS50 67174C Serial # 9138B Looks like it needs new belts, carb work, wiring repair, and a new spring for the drive clutch return.

Along with a new pull start recoil assembly. Any one either have some good info on these or a place where I can get the info I am seeking?You're probably more interested in the machine, but the engine info. . 76 Answers SOURCE: I know this may sound stupid but I've don it my self is the gas on? If it is then my next? Is, does the nut on the bottom of the bowl have an adjustment screw in it? If it does see if it is turned in all the way, if it's turned in than from just bottom out turn it out 1 1/4 turns out that is the fuel flow needle once running that needle may need to be fine tuned,also if it is turned out to far it wont run either cause it will flood out. If that doesn't work it might be something internal with the carb.let me know how you make out and if we need to check into it further.
Posted on Dec 27, 2008. 32 Answers SOURCE: To maybe convert your Flamethrower back to a generator, Make sure the fuel line is a good quality thick rubber material (like OEM )since it passes through the engine,HEAT is a issue, if it has been modified to steel, or it's thin rubber, it will overheat the fuel on its way to the carb and cause backfires after the engine warms up, ( vaporizing gas and pressure bypassing the jets flooding the engine) I use 1/4 inch Goodyear sold at Autozone, one of very few name brand quality parts you can get there. 76 Answers SOURCE: Hello, First check the oil and make sure that ti is full. Then remove the spark plug wire and spark plug, then take the recoil cover off and with a socket to fit the flywheel bolt and a breaker bar, try to rotate the engine by hand. Also while you are trying to rotate the engine have someone take and spray some penetrating fluid like seafoam (you can get seafoam from some auto parts stores) don't spray to much, just enough to coat the cylinder wall, and a wooden dowel that just fits in the spark plug hole and log enough to hold onto while inside the head tap on the dowel with a hammer to try to free it up.
If it frees up spray a little more seafoam into the cylinder then put the recoil cover back on and pull it over a few times to lube the cylinder wall. If it does not turn the I recommend bringing it to a reputable repair shop. They may be able to free it up or if it is real bad they may be able to help you get a used or new motor for it.
